World Living Soils Forum
Description
Soils are a complex ecosystem that is still too often misunderstood. In complete interdependence with water, biodiversity and climate, our agriculture, but also our economy and our health, depend on their state. However, more than 40% of the soils on the planet are currently degraded. It is therefore urgent to act to protect and regenerate them.
Naturally concerned about the sustainability of its different terroirs, Moët Hennessy has been committed for many years to the preservation of living soils, and launched in 2022, in a collective approach, the World Living Soils Forum, a meeting dedicated to the preservation, health and regeneration of soils. The first edition brought together for 2 days all the communities committed around more than 100 internationally renowned experts with a view to creating synergies, sharing knowledge, agreeing on methodologies and monitoring and impact indicators in order to accelerate the transition.
Co-organized with ChangeNOW to have more impact and integrate more solutions, the second edition of the World Living Soils Forum took place on October 8 and 9, 2024 at LUMA Arles.
